George found an egg.

“Is it the rabbit’s egg?”

asked George.

The rabbit looked

at the egg.

“No, it is not the rabbit’s

egg,” said George.

“Is it the cat’s egg?”

The cat looked at

the egg.

“No, it is not the cat’s

egg,” said George.

“Is it Mom’s egg?”

Mom looked at

the egg.

“No, it is not my egg,”

Mom said.

“It is a bird’s egg.”

George looked at the egg.

“Peep!” said the egg.
